Thanks, Pointer Sisters, for representin' and helping me express my utter JOY, AMAZEMENT, AND EUPHORIA over becoming a brand-new member of blogcritics.org--described onsite as "A sinister cabal of superior bloggers on music, books, film, popular culture, technology, and politics."
It's been quite awhile since I've donned my cultural critic/reviewer hat, and blogcritics.com will give me a forum to do just that, while I continue my more personal rants here.
Since sometimes these categories cross over--and since the Blogcritics editor asked me to submit my first post posthaste--I've included an oldie there from the Shithouse archives. It's a little thing I like to call "Here's Looking at Jew, Kid."
In future, I'll either double-post my entries on the Shithouse too, or provide a link to its location on the Blogcritics site.

Er, thanks...though the fact that none of your three blogs seem to be real leads me to believe (now hold on to your hats) that you are a spammer. But what the hell, I'll take any thank-you I can get.

I think you are an excellent writer and thinker. I was crushed when you took down your old blog and didn't add back your old writings--though I do love the new design.
In the interests of fairness and clarity, let me just say that becoming a Blogcritic is not in and of itself a difficult thing to do. Anyone interested can sign up, as far as I can see. I think the important factor is a commitment to post regularly there--at least once a week--and get involved in the site as much as possible. So if you're interested, just follow the link I provided.
I also hope some of you will check out the essay in question and leave a comment there if you're of a mind to. But then again, how much Elvira can anyone take in one sitting? lol.

Awww, thanks, B! I haven't really been discovered so much as TRYING to get myself discovered by hooking up with a website that gets a HUGE amount of traffic (lol). But it also happens to be a terrific site.
As for you, I know you've already been discovered by your Profs--who know a great thing when they see it--and I'm sure your beautiful paintings will be out there for all to see soon enough! I know what you have up on your blog is just a small sample of what you've been producing, but it is stunning stuff!
So glad things are going so well for you--that's what having good karma reaps! I'll drop you another e-mail soon to see what's up...
