More Blogcritics pimp outs
For anyone who might be interested, here's my latest three posts over at Blogcritics.org:
PRO-LIFE OR ANTI-SEX?
(40 comments and pings so far)
Pro-lifers have a "final solution" for anyone having extramarital sex--just say no!
(Yes, this is a SIZZLING HOT TOPIC, so anyone who'd like to join the fray is, of course, more than welcome.)
CONFESSIONS OF A COMMENT WHORE
I adore comments, but respond lackadaisically. I post comments to blogpals' sites, then forget whether I did. I've got issues.
(Most regular Shithouse readers have seen this post here. Though many of you commented then, over at BC there's only two responses so far. This comment whore sure could use a few more comments (lol!)
SOUNDTRACK REVIEW: GOODFELLAS--MARTIN SCORSESE'S SENSATIONAL SOUNDS OF THE SEVENTIES
Incorporating George Harrison's "What is Life" and other seventies classics into Goodfellas, Martin Scorsese takes a good song and makes it better.
(Anyone interested in Scorsese, Goodfellas, George Harrison, movie "soundtracks" taken from existing songs, and how the significance of these songs is forever changed by being merged with a given film might enjoy checking this one out.)
Aside from this, there are many many terrific and thought provoking posts on a daily basis over at Blogcritics.
End of pimp-out.

Truer words were never spoken...but it's sometimes hard to come out and admit it, isn't it? Or is it?

(Turning on my link-whore redlight, adjusting it to obtain the most flattering effect.)
If you write an article in blogcritics.org on abortion that generates 40 or more comments, does that make you a link-pimp?
Cheers and Best Regards!

Jumper:
Did I say forty comments? It's actually up to 72 now...heh heh...
And may I also add that your recent post is hysterical, brilliant and a must-read?
The pro-life people need to be deprogrammed and emerge from Stonehengeland.
I will not say anything about the blog commenting.
Fuck Goodfellas. I hate mob-related movies and television shows. Why glamorize it? That's all that is being done with that. Personally, I say we should make documentaries about things like vegan nutrition and recycling. Now that's entertainment!
Ice:
I see that you are in fine fighting form today. Bravo.
Your one sentence description of you know who's has simply blown me away. You are wise beyond your years.
As far as comments, just had to mention that my Blogcritics post Pro-Life or Anti-Sex? has garnered 182 comments thus far. Amazing who and what comes out of the woodwork as soon as the phrases "pro-life," "pro-choice," or "sex" are mentioned.
Hope some of you guys will drop by and leave your two cents.
The reason I love movies like Goodfellas and the Godfather are that they are prime examples of masterful filmmaking. Doesn't mean I wanna marry a mobster or anything.
Besides, didn't you think Ray Liotta, or the young Al Pacino or Robert De Niro were even a little bit hot in these films?
i have seen every film Robert DeNiro was in! he is one of my most favorite actors! Goodfellas was awesome, so was casino and heat. i own all of his films as a matter of fact! does that make me wierd? NAAAH!
I am a former BlogCritics member, now I just pop in every so often to comment. The site isn't macintosh compatible, some posts cause my computer to freeze up, your pro-life/anti-sex thread is one of them. It seems to have to do with external sites, like googleadsyndication or sitemeter, etc. rather than the post itself. It's just a grab bag as to which threads I can read.
Since macintosh users are a minority who are given no thought, and since I'm used to being a minority that way, I don't complain about it to them, but wanted to point out that perhaps some threads would be getting more responses.
Regarding the pro-life movement, I prefer to call it the forced birth movement. If you look at their politicians (Newt, Jack Ryan, et. al.) they clearly are not anti-sex, nor opposed to sex outside of marriage. Ergo, it is the forced birth movement.
